Assignment #1
This photograph was taken by Ansel Adams, a photographer born in San Francisco on February 20th, 1902. Music was his intended profession, but he soon gave it up for photography in the 1920's. His appreciation for music and photography was very strong and he later went on to meet other famous photographers and gained not only great respect for them, but a love for photography and the environment. The reason I enjoy this photograph so much is because it's of a landscape. I've always wanted to grow up and take pictures of landscaping because it's so beautiful and intriguing to me. People can always find something interesting and fun or emotional in nature and that's why it is a spectacular thing to take photos of. Photos of nature have always stuck out to me and they are what brought me to the conclusion that I love photography.

Great! Ansel Adams is one of my all time favorite photographers too! What he could do with black and white film, natural lighting, and high contrast amazes me!
